This Privacy Policy explains how the WebArchive application (“the App”, “we”, “our”) handles user data when interacting with personal media files and a user-specified server.
1. Collected Information
The App does not collect, store, or transmit personal data to third-party services.
All media files and metadata that you choose to process remain on your device or are transferred only to the server you configure within the App.
The App may access:
- media files stored locally on your device
- metadata associated with media files (such as creation date, location information if present, recognized subjects or persons) This access is required solely to display your media library and to upload selected files to your chosen server.
2. Data Storage and Transfer
The App does not maintain its own remote storage and does not synchronize data with external services.
Any file transfer is performed directly between your device and the server address that you configure.
We do not have access to, nor do we manage, your server, its contents, or its security settings.
3. Third-Party Sharing
We do not share, sell, or distribute user data to third parties.
Data remains under your control and is transmitted only to the server you specify.
4. Permissions
The App may request permission to:
- access your media library to display and transfer files
- use network access to connect to your selected server
These permissions are required for core functionality. Without granting them, some features may not work.
5. User Responsibility
You are responsible for:
- providing correct server credentials and access tokens
- maintaining the security, privacy, and availability of your server
- ensuring that you have authority to upload and store media files on that server
6. Children’s Privacy
The App is not recommended for children under the age of 13, but allowed from the age of 4.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
7. Security
The App does not intercept or alter the contents of your media files.
Data security during transfer depends on the configuration of your server and the connection method you choose.
Use of secure network protocols (for example, encrypted connections) is strongly recommended.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time.
The latest version will always be available within the App or through the distribution platform where the App is published.
